All activities will stop when inclement weather occurs. This may be heavy rains, high winds, extreme cold or heat, and/or lightning. Long County Recreation Parks are monitored by a lightning detector that will sound an alarm when the threat of a lightning strike is prevalent. All activity will cease when the detector alarm sounds and will not resume for a minimum of 30 minutes after each alarm until weather conditions improve. During any warning period, all participants and patrons must leave the field, dugouts, and bleacher areas and will be contacted by LCRD office or team coach for further instructions. If activities are cancelled prior to starting time, team coaches will be notified and responsible for informing parents and participants.
